Who We Are

Patrick Campbell, Principal

Patrick is Principal of our Central Virginia location. After graduating from the University of Richmond in 1995, Patrick worked for Optimum Choice, Inc. and then moved to work as a health insurance agent specializing in group sponsored benefits for an independent agency before joining Synergy Solutions Group of Virginia, Inc. at its inception in 2001. He continues to focus on group sponsored benefits with Synergy Solutions Group of Virginia. Patrick resides in Richmond, VA with his wife and son. He is an avid fan of UNC athletics, especially UNC basketball, and the band U2. In his free time, he enjoys athletic activities, attending sporting events, and attending concerts.

 

Robert Hayward, Principal

Robert is Principal of our Tysons Corner, Washington DC Metro location. Robert graduated from Old Dominion University in 1994. He began his Insurance career in 1996 with New York Life before transitioning to Employee Benefits in 1997. He was founding partner of Synergy Benefits, Inc., in February 2001, which was acquired by Brown and Brown in August 2010. He furthered his education with National Association of Benefits Consultants, where he received his Certified Benefits Consultants (CBC) designation. In March 2015, Robert reunited with his former business partner. Robert is married with five children and resides in Vienna, VA. His hobbies include swimming, biking and running or “Triathlons. On weekends, he enjoys spending time with his family and watching his children participate in soccer, track, cross country, swimming, basketball and baseball.

 

Bill Fritton IV, Marketing and Sales

Holds an MBA from the University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business and a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Hampden-Sydney College. He is an Enrolled Agent licensed to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue service, and is a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents. He is also a Graduate Fellow of the National Tax Practice Institute. Bill has been in the tax and financial consulting industry for more than 25 years and has been the President and owner of his own firm since 1997. Partnered with Synergy Solutions Group of Virginia in 2015 to enhance and provide further support to clients.

 

Betsy Bray, Client Relations

Betsy received a B.A. degree in Business/Economics from Randolph-Macon College. She then pursued a career in Direct Marketing where she was VP of Client Services at Brann Worldwide for the Richmond office. After her most recent job as CEO of her household, Betsy joined Synergy Solutions Group of Virginia in 2013. Betsy has her Life, Health, and Annuities License. She resides in Richmond, VA with her husband and two sons. Outside of work, Betsy is kept busy as chauffeur to two active boys and enjoys family time through outdoor activities.

 

Kristen Goode, Client Relations

Prior to joining the team at Synergy Solutions Group of Virginia in April 2014 Kristen served as Director of Special Events the Children’s Hospital of Richmond before taking time off to stay at home and raise her three children. She has been active volunteer on Junior Board of Children’s Hospital Foundation for fourteen years and is member the Board of Trustees for The New Community School. When Kristen is not providing client support at Synergy Solutions Group she enjoys exercising, playing tennis, and spending time with her family at river home. She is graduate the University of South Carolina with degree in Journalism.
